History of Peachland

The area now known as Peachland has been home to the Okanagan people for thousands of years. European settlement began in the late 19th century when John Moore Robinson, a land developer, founded the town in 1899 after being impressed by the local peaches. Peachland was officially incorporated as a district municipality in 1909.
